525 William Lawrence purchased land in Middletown, NJ in 1667.
In 1685, William Lawrence, Richard Hartshorne, John and Joseph West, Edward Lafetra and others took two Thousand five Hundred acres of land on the coast from Wreck Pond to the head of Barnegat Bay, under the name of the Manasquan Beaach Company. Their lands were in several cases occupied many years by the descendants of the original purchasers, and by others were sold soon afterwards. He deeded land to Sons in his Will on Dec 3, 1701, proved on May 22, 1704. Sons: James, Elish and Joseph. His wife Elizabeth and his granddaughters Mary Hannah, Elizabeth, Susannah and Rebecca Grover.
